It legit never occurred to me until you were talking about Nagito's luck post Despair episode 4 that his luck actually probably saved Ruruka, Seiko, and Izayoi since he got involved with them for his laxative plan. Junko turned Nagito's class into despairs, and she tells Makoto that she kept their class alive on purpose (end of DR1), but it makes it seem like she killed off all the other talented students. Other than HP graduates, we don't really see people from other classes who would have been students at the same time as Junko alive in the Future Arc, so if those 3 had not been expelled, they probably would've died during the tragedy. Just an interesting thought.

Going back to Izuru's final words at Dr2 last scene everything would make sense.. It wasn't Hajime talking, but Izuru deciding to live as Hajime.. because even the choice of words isn't Hajime's. Poor Hajime man, he actually 'died'

Friendly reminder that during the events of DR2 Nagito did all the shit he did while his memories of Hope's Peak were wiped out, meaning he would get what he wanted through threats and terrorism before even getting in contact with Junko, and the fact that they took that concept to the anime is fucking hilarious.

Still feels surreal that Shark is even reacting to Danganronpa. I'm rewatching his entire playthrough of each game from start to finish (just about at the end of the first game) and I refuse to believe that let's play happened two years ago. I swear he just started this series.

I’m so happy you’re watching this, and I don’t want to be ‘that person’ since it is a pretty faithful beat-for-beat adaptation, but I would LOVE for you to read the manga (if you can find an affordable way to) for comparison and make a video on witch you prefer!! I’m gonna keep this brief but here’s a simple version of why the manga (as usual) is a bit better- -it’s set in, and written in the 80s, it had a very 80s action die hard-y vibe -the anime cuts down the dialog, and removes a lot of the nuance in conversation ESPECIALLY EIJI. He’s super sassy and back talks ash a lot more in the manga, with much more autonomy and personality seperate from ash than the show give him credit for.I feel that the show stripped his charcter of a lot of his depth and simplified him to “self doubting soft boi” on top of taking away most of his impactful lines (and curses!! He says f*ck twice by the end of the FIRST BOOK and the some how cut that while overexaderating ash’s foul mouth) -eiji has a really heavy Japanese accent (since the book is translated to English) and speaks shit English -you can actually tell when Ibe and eiji are speaking Japanese vs English -just trust me bro please I’m begging you -just trust me bro it’s worth it

I was waiting for your reactions towards this set nagito having his own episode, new color scheme intro for despair arc, your goddess junko returning, and the ending seeing despair girls and hajime. I cried during the seiko flashback and her death 😭

the original fruits basket dub was one of the first anime;s id ever watched and the dub performance is a massive comfort to me. so imagine my my sheer excitement when i heard that not only would they be rebooting and adapting the whole fruits basket series, but ALSO the original voice actors for the english dub would be reprising their roles. Thats why when this reboot came out I watched the sub and dub because I just loved the dub actors so much since they were the voices I first experienced the show in.
